I must admit I fell in love with this shot at first sight: I love the masterpiece of Saint-Exupèry and I think this is a beautiful and powerful interpretation.
From a technical point of view, this is a great shot. Focus, point of view, composition, colours -everything is great. I expecially love the light and the chromatic contrasts, they add a pensive mood to the shot. The attention for the details is visible: the colours chosen for the drawings are matching with the pegs and the sky, for example.
The subject, wrapped in his cloak and almost encaged by the two dark bars, is looking outside: he's lost in his dreams - the watcher is not included in his world. But, who is he? Or is he a little boy, fond of the novel, dreaming to visit the world of the little prince? Or is he dreaming to be the prince himself? We can only imagine the universe and the adventures he's creating...
